Publication of HMRC manual guidance on CGT on UK Property returns
The ATT is pleased to report that on 16 December, HMRC published new guidance in their CGT manuals on using the UK Property Reporting Service to report and pay CGT on disposals of UK property.
The new guidance can be found in HMRC's manuals here and covers a number of areas where members had sought clarification. The ATT and other bodies have been calling for guidance since the service first went live in April 2020, and we were pleased to be able to comment on drafts of the guidance. Further interations of the manual guidance are due next year.
