Preparing for the November 2026 Examinations
The November 2026 ATT examinations will be held via a new examinations platform, RM Assessment Master, with remote proctoring services provided by Talview.
We have set out below the materials and resources that will be available to you during the November 2026 examination session:

| Online access to tax legislation | You will not be able to bring in any hard copies of legislation. You have a choice of two online products from the approved providers to purchase Online Tax legislation for the exams - Croner and Tolley's Digital Library. These are products produced for student usage and may well be different to the subscriptions your firm provides you with at work. Click on the links below to purchase the Online legislation (providers listed alphabetically): You will not be able to make notes in either product, but you will be able to use highlighting and other useful features that come with your Online legislation. You must bring your login details with you to the exam. |
| Access to unannotated PDF copies of Tolley study material for the relevant exam | This will be provided to all candidates on-screen, within the application, during the exam. This includes the relevant study manuals and the corresponding memory jogger. |
| Tax tables | These will be uploaded to the exam platform, and available on-screen during the exam. |
| A5 notebook | A common sense approach will be expected in relation to the notebook, with this being approximately A5 size (with a degree of tolerance on the exact size) and up to 2 inches/5 cm thick. The notebook can contain pre-printed, typed or handwritten notes. |

The deadline for Access Arrangements and Reasonable Adjustment applications for the November 2026 session is 21 September 2026.
While late applications may be considered, we cannot guarantee to grant accommodations where applications are received after the deadline.
Where you have pre-existing reasonable adjustments agreed with the ATT and require the allowed A5 notebook to be increased in size to A4 as an additional reasonable adjustment, this must be requested separately by 21 September for the November 2026 session. If you sat an examination in May 2026 and we agreed at that time that the notebook could be increased to A4 size, you do not need to re-apply.
The November 2026 ATT exams will be invigilated via a recorded service, delivered via Talview. This means there will not be a live invigilator to whom you are connected for your exam, but your screen will be recorded, and your workspace will be recorded via your web camera.
Unless you have access arrangements/reasonable adjustments giving you extra time or an earlier start time, all candidates will start their examinations at the standard start time (shown on our key dates and deadlines page)
Further information will be published as soon as we have it available on device and broadband specifications required to successfully sit your examination via the RM platform. General guidance that we have currently is that Windows PCs/laptops and MacBook devices are supported. Please check the detailed specifications when they are published.
Use of ‘corporate devices’ (for example, a laptop provided by your employer that you usually use for your work) to sit ATT exams has proved problematic in the past, both up to 2025 when we were using Exam4 and, to some degree, also with TestReach in the May 2026 ATT exam session.
Having consulted with RM on this point, we wish to give advance warning that they have recommended avoiding use of corporate devices for sitting ATT remotely-proctored exams on their platform. This is because candidates may experience issues with firewalls blocking access to the exam. Details on system requirements will be published as soon as we have them available to us.
However, if you are considering booking an exam for the November 2026 sitting, please be aware that if you use a corporate devices, it is at your own risk. ATT will not accept responsibility if exams are missed due to device-specific issues.
Prior to the examination, you will need to familiarise yourself with how the RM exam platform works.
