Volunteering with the ATT

3 November, 2025

Volunteering is central to everything we do. Across our Steering Groups, Committees, and Branch network, members share their knowledge and experience to provide leadership, guidance, and support for the ATT and its members.

Ways to Get Involved

There are many opportunities to volunteer with the ATT:

Steering Groups and Committees: contribute to our work in education, technical standards, member services, and more. Our Steering Groups and Committees include;

  • Equality, Diversity and Inclusion Committee

  • Examination Steering Group

  • Finance Steering Group

  • Member and Business Development Steering Group

  • Professional Standards Committee

  • Technical Steering Group and VAT Sub-Group

Contributors:  provide your insights and views on consultations, draft legislation, and similar tax matters to ensure that our responses to HMRC reflect the views of our membership and are informed by members’ practical experiences.

Branch Network: support local events and member engagement.

School Outreach: inspire the next generation by visiting schools, colleges, universities, and careers fairs.

ATT Mentor Match: volunteer to be a mentor with the ATT mentoring programme.

Next Steps

Whether you’re a student, newly qualified, long-standing, or retired member, it’s never too early or too late to get involved.

If you’d like to get involved, please contact us (atttechnical@att.org.uk) with your area of interest and a brief explanation of why you’d like to volunteer.
