HMRC launches a survey on a potential new digital service for agents

As part of HMRC’s transformation roadmap, HMRC is exploring whether a new, digital service could enable authorised agents to report information that may affect a client’s PAYE tax code to HMRC. Currently agents have to ring or write to HMRC to report changes needed to their clients' tax codes.   

HMRC would like to understand which types of coding changes agents need to report most frequently, how these are currently reported, and the potential value of a digital reporting route to agents.
