CIOT/ATT partner with TestReach to enhance exam experience
The Association of Taxation Technicians (ATT) and Chartered Institute of Taxation (CIOT) have agreed a deal with a new software provider to improve the exam process for their students from 2026 onwards.
TestReach will provide improved platforms and interfaces for CIOT and ATT’s flagship qualifications,1 including the Chartered Tax Adviser (CTA), Advanced Diploma in International Taxation (ADIT), and Association of Tax Technician (ATT) qualifications.
The new agreement follows feedback from students on the usability of the organisations’ exam system, via two student surveys and a CTA review consultation run earlier this year.2
Vicky Purtill, Director of Education at CIOT and ATT, said:
“This partnership with TestReach is a vital step in future-proofing our qualifications. We needed a modern, secure and highly usable system that not only safeguards the integrity of our assessments today, but also positions us for the future as we design and roll out new qualifications. Working with TestReach gives us the confidence that we can continue to provide excellence in taxation assessments.”
Alison Bell, Head of Growth at TestReach, added:
“We are delighted to be partnering with CIOT and ATT to support their ambition and desire to deliver the best possible and most secure candidate experience. Our TestReach mission of fairness through excellence is completely aligned with CIOT and ATT’s future assessment plans and unsurpassed reputation in the field of taxation.”
Notes:
- Tax exam delivery will move to TestReach in 2026: ATT exams being delivered from May 2026; CTA exams from November 2026; and ADIT exams from December 2026.
- Note that only exams currently delivered via the Exam4 platform will be moving to TestReach. Our Law, Accounting, and Professional Responsibilities & Ethics Computer Based Exams (CBEs) will continue to be delivered via Prometric.
