ATT welcomes new HMRC Chief Executive

The ATT has written to JP Marks, the new Chief Executive and First Permanent Secretary of HMRC to congratulate him on his appointment.

In our letter, we also took the opportunity to raise some key issues including:

• The importance of factoring agents into HMRC's Transformation Roadmap
• The need for a wider review of self-assessment criteria
• Suggested improvements to employment expense claim processes
• The timescale for the rollout of Making Tax Digital (MTD)

In his reply to the ATT,  JP Marks thanks us for our active engagement and participation with HMRC and states the he is keen to continue working with the ATT and its members.
