Tax Awareness Week 2026

The ATT and CIOT are proud to launch a brand-new initiative: Tax Awareness Week, taking place from 9–13 March 2026.

What is Tax Awareness Week?

Tax Awareness Week is an educational initiative designed to increase public understanding of tax obligations, the benefits of using a qualified tax adviser, and available resources, while showcasing the wide range of careers in tax.

Five themed days of focus

Tax Awareness Week will explore five themed days:

  • Day 1 – 9 March: Why you need to be tax aware
  • Day 2 – 10 March: Debunking tax myths
  • Day 3 – 11 March: Understanding your taxes (resources and support)
  • Day 4 – 12 March: Volunteering and careers in tax
  • Day 5 – 13 March: The benefits of using a qualified tax adviser

Throughout the week, the ATT will be sharing content and practical resources across LinkedInTikTok and the ATT website. Whether someone is completing their first tax return, running a growing business, or considering a career in tax, Tax Awareness Week is designed to offer something relevant and useful.

How your team can get involved

The ATT have developed supporter resources to make it easy for employers and employees to get involved. These include suggested social media posts, logos, and downloadable assets that can be used across social media, newsletters, presentations, and other communications.

You and your teams can support the campaign by:

  • Sharing official content across social media channels
  • Using the supporter resources to create and share your own social media posts
  • Joining the conversation using #TaxAwarenessWeek
  • Talking to clients, contacts, or wider networks about tax awareness
  • Sharing personal experiences, challenging common tax myths, or highlighting career opportunities in tax

Join us

We hope you’ll encourage your teams to get involved and help make Tax Awareness Week 2026 (9–13 March) a success. Together, we can raise awareness, challenge misconceptions, highlight the value of qualified advice, and proudly showcase the careers and people that make up the tax profession.
