As part of our mission to advance public education in tax, the ATT is encouraging members to support local schools in introducing tax to the classroom and promoting the benefits of a career in tax.
Many young people leave school with little understanding of tax and whilst there is some excellent material out there teachers may not always feel confident using it.
Likewise, many young people leave education unaware of the depth, breadth and wonderful opportunities there are for a career in tax.
And this is where you can help.
Join us for a short, informative, webinar on Tuesday 13 October, from 12:00 to 13:00, where Director of Public Policy, Emma Rawson, and Technical Officer and Schools and Careers lead, Steven Pinhey, will discuss how you can use your tax knowledge and experience to support teachers and inspire students.
Emma and Steven will cover:
- our strategy for tax education in schools and for career fairs
- how you can get involved in both
- what presentation aids are available
- how we can support you with careers events.
Emma and Steven will also be joined by members who will share their first-hand experiences of volunteering in schools and representing the profession at career fairs.
There will also be plenty of opportunity to ask any questions.
Help make a difference—register now and find out how you can help support tax education and careers fairs in your local schools.
