Stephen Rimmington - Senior Manager in Tax Technology at Saffery

Stephen helps tax professionals make better use of technology to improve efficiency, quality and consistency in the delivery of tax services. He works closely with tax teams and central functions across the firm to identify practical solutions to business challenges, supporting the adoption of new technologies and helping shape the future of tax advisory services.

 A Chartered Tax Adviser, Stephen combines a background in private client tax with extensive experience in tax transformation, automation and AI. He has led the implementation of a range of tax technology initiatives and regularly contributes to discussions on the future of the profession, speaking at industry and firmwide events on tax technology, innovation and the evolving role of tax professionals.

 

Helen Whiteman - CEO CIOT

Helen has been CEO since September 2019, joining from the legal services sector. With over 20 years’ experience of working with chartered bodies, membership associations and regulators, she leads the work of the Institute supported by a senior management team and Council members who are all chartered tax advisers. Helen studied Law at De Montfort University, before undertaking a Masters in IT at the University of Warwick. She is an advocate for continuous learning and has a keen interest in digital and AI technologies. Helen is a volunteer trustee for Discover Children’s Story Centre in Stratford, London and ecobirmingham. She is a Champion and former trustee of the legal mental health and wellbeing charity, LawCare.
