HMRC have provided a further informal update regarding Contact Centres, amendments relevant to PAYE and information on the Charities Online Demonstrator.

'Common reasons for contacting HMRC

We have been working with colleagues from our Contact Centres to identify the most common reasons for contact over the last four weeks where the information is already available on our website. The following attachment contains details of the ten most frequently asked questions during February and some pointers as to where customers may find answers.

Amended PAYE Regulations

Amendments to Regulation 72E & F of Pay As You Earn (PAYE) regulations
HMRC has published draft Statutory Instrument making amendments to the Income Tax (PAYE) Regulations 2003 with accompanying Explanatory Memoranda and TIIN in respect to changes to Regulation 72E and F. Questions or comments on the draft Statutory Instruments should be submitted no later than 9 March 2014. 

Online Demonstrator Updated

Charities Online demonstrator has been improved (PDF 1.2MB)

HMRC has updated the Charities Online Demonstrator to help you submit your Gift Aid repayment claims online.

Withdrawal of National Insurance Number Tracing Service

Withdrawal of National Insurance Number Tracing Service

The CA6855 clerical tracing service is to be withdrawn from 31 March 2014.'
