HMRC PAYE update (SA and P11D)

HMRC have provided the ATT with some up to date information concerning the issue of the remaining statements of account in respect of payments due by 31st July as well as further news concerning the issue of forms SA252 and P810 as well as the end of year reconciliations and the processing of forms P11D. The text of the message can be found here

  1. SA Statements

Please see the attached updated briefing about our progress in getting up to date with the issue of SA statements

  2. Forms SA 252

In our briefing of 18th July (copy attached for ease of reference) we said that Forms SA 252 would be issued from September 2011. We thought that you would like to know that the date for this bulk issue has now been revised to October/November 2011.

  3. End of Year Reconciliation

We advised you that we would be starting the end of year reconciliation process for 2010-11 from mid July 2011 and that we are dealing with customers who are due a refund first. This process is now well underway.
Details of the process with the P800 tax calculation and the additional notes that accompany the calculations are at http://www.hmrc.gov.uk/p800/paye-tax-calcs.htm
We will send P800 tax calculations later in the year to people who have paid too little tax and will let you know nearer the date when we start to issue these calculations.

  4. P11D processing

We are also processing the P11Ds for customers who receive taxable expenses and benefits. End of year reconciliations resulting in a tax refund will be sent to customers over the coming few weeks. Those resulting in an underpayment will be sent later in the year. Customers will be advised of any change to their tax code for the current year as a result of the processing of the P11D.
