Withdrawal from the examination

From May 2009 the following rules will apply.

Examination fees will be non refundable. If you withdraw from some or all papers entered before the examination entry closing date then your full fee will be carried forward but only until the next examination session. If there has been an increase in examination fees you will be required to pay the balance before your new examination entry can be accepted. If you withdraw from some or all papers entered after the examination entry closing date then your fee will be forfeited. In exceptional circumstances Council may transfer the fee to the next examination session. Evidence would have to be provided together with a written explanation of the circumstances.

Recheck procedure from May 2009

You may request a procedural review of your marks. This is not a remark but a check of the processes involved in arriving at a result. If there has been an error in the marking process the script will be remarked. You must apply in writing for a recheck within 21 working days of the date of your results letter. The fee for this service is £25 per paper, which is refundable if there is a material change to the mark. Under no circumstances will the Association enter into discussion with you on the result of a recheck.
