CT Online iXBRL Solutions Exhibition, Glasgow: 15 September 2010

HMRC have finalised the arrangements for the forthcoming iXBRL solutions event at Hampden Park, Glasgow on 15 September 2010 from 09.30 to 17.00. Tax advisers within reach of Glasgow who need to identify software or other solutions for iXBRL reporting for Corporation Tax returns (including accounts and computations) may wish to attend this event.

As a significant range of types of solutions is coming onto the market, the event will provide tax advisers and companies with the opportunity to compare available products and try to match one to best suit their needs as the 1 April 2011 date for compulsory online filing in iXBRL for Corporation Tax approaches.

The message from HMRC states:

Following the success of the 30 June event at Chelsea Football Club, HM Revenue & Customs (HMRC) will be hosting another exhibition for software vendors to showcase the products and services they’ve developed to support the online filing of Company Tax Returns using the new iXBRL standard for accounts and computations.

The exhibition will be held on:
Wednesday 15 September 2010 at Hampden Park Stadium, Letherby Drive, Glasgow, G42 9BA from 09.30 to 17.00.
The event is free and open to all.

The exhibition will feature Corporation Tax computations and filing solutions, conversion tools, tagging services and accounts production software.

Many organisations will already be familiar with the new Corporation Tax online requirements which come into effect next year and will want to go straight to the exhibition to see the wide variety of iXBRL solutions on offer. For those new to the subject, HMRC will be offering background presentations on iXBRL and Corporation Tax Online at 10.00 and 13.00 - before they visit the exhibition.

HMRC is planning to host a third exhibition later in the autumn, which is likely to be in the Midlands. Further details will be provided once the date and venue have been confirmed.
